Access the Settings page by clicking the Settings tab in the main window sidebar.

Startup Behavior

  • Launch at startup: Toggle this ON to have Screention start automatically when you log in.
  • The app starts in a “hidden” state, minimized to your system tray, ready to capture.

Global Hotkey

Customize the key combination used to trigger a screenshot.
  1. Click the Change button (Lime green).
  2. The input field will flash “Press keys…”.
  3. Press your desired combination (e.g., Ctrl + Shift + S).
    • Note: You must include at least one non-modifier key.
  4. Release the keys to save.
Your custom hotkey is saved automatically and will persist even after you restart the application.
